If
you are responsible for delivering results using offshore
teams, you encounter many challenges.
You wish to improve offshore productivity;
if you do not, business value of offshoring will disappear.
Turnover rate is high – just when you think you have
trained your offshore team, key members move on; your
training cycle begins all over again. You stay up late
or get up early for telecons and video conferences and
wonder how long you can go on with this life style.
You walk away from these telecons thinking that you
have reached consensus and commitment since the staff
at the other end of the conversation said “yes”; but,
you find out later that it was not the case after all.
A “yes” did not really mean a “yes”. Decisions get delayed
due to email turnaround times going back and forth on
clarifications. |

Based
on research spanning over a decade and lessons
learned during a range of implementations, these
workshops will provide you the tools to address
challenges and achieve offshoring success. Developed
and personally presented by internationally recognized
pioneer, expert, author and consultant in offshoring,
M.
M. "Sath" Sathyanarayan, President, Global
Development Consulting, Inc., these workshops
will guide you safely, step by practical step,
through the sometimes mysterious waters of offshoring.

What
you will learn
The course will
begin with an introduction where we present results
of our studies that identify challenges in offshoring.
You may be able to identify with some of them. We will
follow this with our a step-by-step methodology
to address these challenges; we have developed
and refined the methodology over the years.
Next, we'll explore
how to make your offshore staff feel like they're part
of a single, networked team. We'll
use case studies to make the point. We'll use a similar
approach with other success factors – culture,
communications, visibility and control. I'll offer advice
about best practices, but I feel strongly that
management skills and methods are highly individual.
So my role is to help you discover ideas and tactics
that you are most comfortable with. Finally, we will
provide the framework to develop your personal
action plan to address a situation in your
own environment based on what you have learnt in this
course. |
